In Memory of

Jim Davis

James (Jim) Davis

1946 - 2019

Jim Davis was the Patriarch of the Davis Family. He was the husband of Linda Davis, and father to Jimmie and Eddie Davis.

Jim was a truly gifted musician. He never learned to read music, but he could play any stringed instrument he picked up, no matter how different the chords were. He  also played the piano, but he always preferred his fiddle and guitar.

Music was a way of life in the Davis family. Five out of eleven children either played an instrument, sang, or did both. Jim Davis won numerous fiddling contests in West Virginia and Southwestern PA.

Below are some links to some of the songs that Jim Davis sang in the Drunken Hillbillies Band and with his family. Enjoy listening!
